The Left Hand Canyon is a scenic drive, north of Boulder, Colorado, leading to the peak to peak highway. The canyon goes through a small village, Ward, that is still living in the late 60's.
For a few weeks every spring, driving down the Left Hand Canyon near Boulder, Colorado, gives an overview of winter, spring and summer Aspen leaves at once. High in altitude, near Brainard Lake, snow would be still on the ground, and the aspen trees are leafless. Closer to Boulder, the aspens would have bright green colored full-size leaves.
The long exposure allowed for a cloudy water, highlighting its movement.
