On the road from Crested Butte to Aspen, which is more of a track than a road, we crossed fields of lupines mbines surrounded by nice aspen trees. I stopped for a long time, waiting for appropriate clouds to shade the Aspen trees.
In the shadow, the colors are richer, and the details are more visible. The contrast of colors between the cold violet and the warmer tones of green attracts the eye of the viewer, and retains it in the frame.
