The harbour at Sydney, its famous bridge… Walking next to the Sydney Opera House, I saw these 4 friends sitting on the fence, in the darkness, enjoying the wonderful view of the Sydney Harbour bridge.
The lights of the bridge's towers are too bright, they overexposed slightly. I bracketed the exposure, and in processing, I burned slightly the towers of the bridge to maintain details. Because of the darkness, I pushed the camera's sensitivity to 640 ISO, but the exposure times were still multiple seconds. I just hoped that I will have one photo where the girls were sitting still. It was windy, their hair was blowing with the wind, creating a blur around their heads. I liked the effect: dreamy, but very subtle.
Technique:
Canon EOS 1Dmk2, Sigma 15-30mm f/3.5 at 19mm, 6 seconds at f/10, ISO 640
